*Mentis gracefully hurdles another horizontal rule, crying out to you once again.*
Here you will find the descriptions of the supporting characters currently in the Quest. They are not granted main character titles because they are either show up less frequently than main characters, or have relatively minor roles in the Quest. Occasionally, supporting characters will
be "promoted" to main character status, or main characters will change titles to become supporting characters. Sometimes the character pages are a little behind
the plot of the story, because they take time to update. Please forgive Rainribbon if she doesn't have them up to snuff all the time. For a more accurate, and frequently updated character list (without
descriptions), please use the link below. It helps to see both the text list and this page side-by-side, so as to get an idea of whom the characters are and to which players they belong.

| Ryri
and Lyli |
| [No image available] |
| Ryri and Lyli are twin
fire lizards that came from the clutch of orphaned fire lizard eggs in the
forest. Ryri is sapphire in color, while Lyli is emerald.
They "adopted" Tallena as their "mother" and they,
the runts of the fire lizard clutch, stay close by Tallena's side. |
| Petite
Gargouille |

| Petite Gargouille
(French for "Little Gargoyle") is an earth pony, lavender
pearl in color, with purple/white tie-dye mane and tail, tiny crystals
in her eyes, a purple lizard monster gargoyle with a crystal eye on the
right side, and a purple phoenix with a crystal eye on the left side.
She wears a wire necklace containing 3 small, light purple crystals, and
3 larger, dark purple crystals, and she carries a sword with a crystal
and a magical stone in the hilt.
Petite Gargouille guards the gate that separates the
realm of reality from the realm of fantasy. She has the ability to
tell whether one has a true enough heart to pass from reality to
fantasy, and she can protect fantasy creatures that accidentally stray
near the border of the realms of fantasy and reality.
|
| Basalia |
| [No
image available] |
| Basalia is another fire
lizard of the clutch from the forest. She had a strong desire for
Kiri to be her mother, and when a magical surge occurred in the area,
she borrowed Mimic's power to make herself into a rainbow fire lizard.
She is intelligent, and knows what she wants and how to get it. |
| Sliver |
 |
| Sliver is a small, spiky gas dragon,
who is supposed to be an informant to Black Talon, leader
of dragons. However, he likes ponies too much and doesn't
really want to see them hurt, so he hasn't been doing his
job very well at all. He has the magic power of breathing
gas and lighting it on fire. He's very timid and will do
whatever he can to stay alive. He likes Kiri,
Rainribbon's fire lizard, but he can't say so aloud. He
is sly and sneaky, but he's a tad dull and his schemes
often go awry. Lately, he has been hiding out at Rainribbon's
place. Click on his picture for more on him! |
| Ooze |
| [No
image available] |
| Ooze is a slimy, hideous
water-dwelling dragon who has only two feet, a pair of odd-looking
vestigial wings, and a large hole in the top of his head that can be
used for spouting water. He was shunned by the other dragons, and
so became a lonely creature who wanted all his life to have a
friend. He finally found this friend in Flame, who, oddly enough,
is afraid of water. |
| Talon |
| [No
image available] |
| Talon is a good and
righteous gryphon. Of all gryphons, Black Talon hated Talon the
most due to their name similarity. The evil dragon sought to work
the noble creature to death, but Talon used his powerful dream magic and
his intelligence to escape from the mines. Talon has always been a
friend of ponies, and of the unfortunate in general. He has now
joined the ponies in their quest to fight back against the cruel dragon
king. |
| Howler |
| [No
image available] |
| Howler is a werewolf
from the Deep, Dark Forest. He ran into Desert Rose one night, as
Rose was wandering the forest, and Talon the gryphon had to locate
alternative food for Howler, lest Desert Rose be eaten for supper.
Despite his rough appearance, Howler is a gentle creature who wants only
to live and let live. He wishes more than anything to seek
information about himself, to understand why he has memory
problems. He is currently attempting to befriend Ice, in hopes of
forming an alliance with her because she is powerful and can kill
cleanly. |
| Mermillen's
father |
| [No
image available] |
| Mermillen's father is
one of the great dragon mages. He was trapped in Black Talon's
dungeons with the other powerful sorcerers and forced to produce magical
artifacts for the evil dragon king. Mermillen's father and his
friends escaped with Rainribbon's help, and took sanctuary in the land
of the fire lizards, north of the Deep, Dark Forest. |
| Rainribbon
2 and Slethe |
| [No
image available] |
| Rainribbon
2 is a cruel creature who has lived her life as a celebrity. She
is one of the four warring Rainbow Guardians of Dimension 2, and as a
result is powerful due to her finesse in warfare and her extreme
bloodlust. She has five main unicorn companions: Racer 2, Drummer
2 (her boyfriend), Countdown 2, Glory and Moondancer, all of whom have
grown up from their baby counterparts. These five revel in her
many atrocities and enjoy glorifying her horrific acts.
Rainribbon 2 keeps a
strange companion, Kiri's reptile alternate. He is a poisonous
snake named Slethe, a member of a species native to the Deep, Dark
Forest. Slethe lacks Kiri's magic and the ability to read minds,
but his stealth, poisonous bite, and bad bedside manner have won him
many a victory on the battlefield. Slethe was hatched as a normal
snake of his unusual breed, but grew up under Rainribbon's care after
she found him alone in the forest. He attempted to mate, but
because his breed of snake was unusual in its continued attention to its
young after hatching, Slethe decided that he did not want that kind of
responsibility and killed and ate his wife, along with her entire clutch
of eggs. He returned to Rainribbon afterwards, and they were made
even closer by their similarities.
|
| Drummer
2 |
| [No
image available] |
| Drummer
2 is Rainribbon's mate. Unlike Drummer of Dimension 1, he is a
unicorn, and a member of the local unicorn royalty. Drummer 2 is
Rainribbon's main support on the battlefield. He uses his magical
powers to set deadly traps for his opponents and to call the troops to
arms. His powers are those of percussion; he can create shocks of
various degrees, from small ripples to powerful but localized
earthquakes, in addition to having the magic of making music and a
variety of sounds with his hooves. |
| Racer
2 |
| [No
image available] |
| Racer
2, another unicorn, is the mate of young Moondancer. He is very
aggressive and tends to attack without asking any questions.
Always ready to act, Racer has the magic of speed, and can travel great
distances in a fraction of the time that anyone else can do the
same. He is Drummer's best friend. |
| Countdown
2 |
| [No
image available] |
| Countdown
2 is young Glory's mate. He is caring and compassionate, but only
to other unicorns. He also has a nervous twitch and will say
things that he does not mean to express at times. A bit more
level-headed than his friend Racer, Countdown is the brains of the
operation. He is third-in-command in the male unicorn ranks to
Drummer, and his powers are in pyrotechnics and other fuel-related
matters. He has the ability to set explosives and work with
mechanics. |
| Moondancer
2 |
| [No
image available] |
| Moondancer
2 is Baby Moondancer, a bit older. She is one of Rainribbon's best
friends, and she has the magic of grace. She often works to seduce
other ponies into disclosing secret enemy information by combining
Rainribbon's illusions with her dulcet voice and general good
nature. An excellent writer, Moondancer uses big words to confuse
other ponies into doing exactly what she wants. |
| Glory
2 |
| [No
image available] |
| Glory
2 is Baby Glory, a bit older. Rainribbon's other best friend,
Glory has a number of underdeveloped magical powers of which she knows
very little. Her lack of magical mastery makes her feel
unintelligent around other unicorns, and as a result, she tries to play
the role of one less intelligent than she actually is. She helps
her mate to orchestrate some of his ingenious attack strategies, and she
revels in poisoning the food of various foes. Glory also is very
fashion-conscientious, and refuses to go anywhere without
"accessorizing!" |
| Spike
2 |
| [No
image available] |
| Spike
2 is the pet dragon of Majesty the unicorn queen. He is nasty and
full of hate, and loves to steal food from the dinner table because he
was always fed on table scraps. |
| Destiny |
 |
| Destiny
is the oldest of the siblings of Chance. He had been with Black Talon a
long time, as was his sister, Hope. His power is that of fate. He
doesn't have much control over it at this time, but he's working on it.
He doesn't believe in too much caution, since what will happen, will
happen, no matter what anyone does to change it. |
| Hope |
 |
| Hope
is the youngest of the siblings. Her power is to give hope, which she
works on all of the time! She escaped, and was searching for her
brother Chance. |
| Scorch |
| [No image available] |
| Scorch is a bronze fire
lizard who tags along with Midnight Sun. Not much is known about
him, but, like Sliver, he has an affinity for Kiri. He seems to
enjoy playing little tricks on others once in a while. |
| Krell |
| [No image available] |
| Krell is the bronze male
fire lizard who has extraordinary powers, and is the leader of the
abandoned fire lizard clutch. His mother chose him before he
hatched to lead his siblings, because he was the strongest lizard, and
most capable of comprehending what his mother wished of him. |
| Culath |
| [No image available] |
| Culath is the blue fire
lizard that belongs to Firefly. He was "given" toher by
Talon the gryphon when he overhead Firefly wishing for a lizard of her
own, but not saying anything to the others because she didn't want to
look greedy or self-interested. He is from the abandoned clutch.
Firefly's insecurity dwindles when she's with Culath. She likes
looking out for him, and is very protective of him. Culath himself
is very inquisitive and outgoing, although he prefers to be with Firefly
rather than any other creature. He enjoys playing with his sister,
Aariss. |
| Aariss |
|
| Aariss is a green female
fire lizard with patches of scales that match Mimic's hair colors.
She, too, came from the abandoned fire lizard clutch. She wanted
Mimic to be her "mother" upon hatching, and stole some magic
from the dream world to make her scales transform such that she matched
Mimic in color. In spite of herself, Mimic came to love the little
creature, and Aariss has become her faithful companion. Mimic is
generally referred to by Aariss as "Green," and is almost
never called by her actual name. Aariss is rarely mentioned by
Mimic, even though she cares for the little firelizard. Aariss is
brave and fearless, but she is easily confused by the complicated
problems that ponies face. |
| Rorqual |
| [No image available] |
| Rorqual
is a sea green stallion. He has blue hair with a bluish gray
streak in the mane. His symbol is a large whale. He was
rescued from the dungeons by Aquaria after he and his cousin Barnacle
were taken captive by the dragons; their boat destroyed. He, like
Legend, was a guardian of Baby Aquaria after the disappearance of her
mother, Terra. |
| Krys |
| [No image available] |
| Krys
is a rainbow dipsas that became attached to Aquaria when Starbow brought
her from Selkie's Haven to the Crystal Caverns. Krys has an inborn
sense of being able to discern goodness from evilness in a pony, dragon,
or other creature, as do most creatures born in the Crystal Caverns. |
| Tinder
and Frost |
| [No image available] |
| Tinder
is a flame fairy tails bird, while Frost is an ice fairy tails bird.
Both live with Starbow in the Crystal Caverns. They help guard the
Caverns and the ground above them from those who mean harm. |

| Shilling is a cheshire
cat, Black Cat's companion. He has telepathic powers, among other
abilities. |
| Stan |
| [No image available] |
| Stan is an annoying
salespony who pops up out of nowhere at the worst of times, burying
everyone in worthless goods and annoying them to death with his horrid
advertising slogans. |
| Jupiter |
 |
| Cynical,
slightly inexperienced and with a habit of attracting trouble, Jupiter
is the youngest member of the Ring (a notoriously exclusive group of
powerful Mages). |
| Oracle |
 |
| Oracle is the
current Ring Leader and he believes that the only way to peace is
to exterminate both fighting factions (Dragons and ponies!). Little
else is known about him, but rumour has it that he ascended
leadership under suspicious circumstances. |
| Zephyr |
 |
| Sweet
and forgiving, Zephyr is Opal's best friend and is the secretary for the
Ring. |
| Windstorm |
 |
| Windstorm
is a slightly irresponsible, fun loving air elemental dragon pony. The
most you ever see of her is a faint outline and two blue eyes. She is
one with air and is completely undetectable by magic. She is part of the
Ring. |
| Black
Talon |
| [No
image available] |
| Black
Talon is the feared ring leader for the
dragons. He made the head knight go awry, and led the
dragons to take over Ponyland, along with the rest of the
mythical creatures that were supposedly the knights'
faithful companions. He is a large black dragon with dark
maroon overtones, and blood red eyes. |
| Spike |
| [No
image available] |
| Spike is
the cute pink dragon from My Little Pony that we all know and
love. He is currently hiding with the other small creatures at
Rainribbon's home. |
| Rocky |
| [No
image available] |
| Rocky is
a young rock dog who guards the caves at the back of the Deep, Dark
Forest. He is young, but very strong, and capable of frightening
off the evilest of dragons. However, Rocky has a soft spot for
cute, innocent-looking creatures and can get himself into trouble when
confronted with an illusion. |
Below, you may learn about some former Quest characters
who have died in the course of the game. Although these characters will not appear in Dimension 1, they might be alive in different
forms in Dimension 2, and other players might refer to them in dialog or character asides.
| Dust
Mote |
| [No
image available] |
| Dust
Mote is a dimwitted dragon who was dropped on stone as a baby, making
his IQ somewhat low. His parents were killed by the evil dragons,
and he was rescued by a kindhearted minion who worked in Black Talon's
"Recruiting" platoon. Dust Mote really wants to make
friends, and he does his best to fit in with any group. He was
sent by the dragons to kill the ponies, but he ended up joining them
instead, since they offered more friendship than the dragons would have,
once they found out that he had failed in his mission. |
